Women Like It Completely Bare

Many women, don't find body hair attractive. It's as simple as that!!

Researchers have found that a majority of women really do prefer a man with a smooth chest.
But guess what... women aren't hairless either. Everyone is born with body hair. But the demand is for women to remove it because men find that attractive, so most women do it.

"And it just so happens that these days more women prefer men without body hair, it's more visually pleasing.
Body hair just doesn't turn us on. It doesn't look good or sexy, we much prefer the feel of bare skin..  sorry guys, but its true!!  When a man is hairless his body looks more muscular and pleasing to the eye".

Laser hair removal for men has become very popular worldwide, 40% of our laser clients are male, Men are too tired of everyday shaving, skin irritation, razor bumps and ingrowing hairs on the face, once they try laser they see the difference straight away, the results are instant and the skin instantly becomes smoother, the only regret they have is not having it done sooner.
Now men use laser hair removal to treat hair on their legs, chest, face, back, and even underarms. In addition men like the laser hair removal process because you get permanent results, it is affordable, pain-free, quick, and safe.

Many ladies prefer hairless guys. That is why many men do it for their girlfriends and wives. Others just enjoy the smooth hairless look!

Everyday on TV screens we see “hot” male models, body builders and actors that are completely hair free. They were not born that way, Laser Hair Removal made them that way.

Why laser hair removal is an invetsment?

Ok well, While women seem to understand that beauty comes at a price, men are, by nature, more logical and practical creatures. Laser hair removal treatments can vary in cost, but the fact of it is that you'll be making an investment. This investment is such an important one, consider the fact that you are absolutely worth it!
Sit down and add up the costs of the alternative methods of hair removal. How many jars of depilatory cream, packages of razors or razor blades, or home waxing kits will you be purchasing over the course of your life? Not to mention the skin care creams and soothing balms you'll have to pick up to keep your skin feeling smooth after all of this abuse.
Now look at the cost of laser hair reduction. After just 4 to 6 sessions, you will have softer, smoother, hair free skin almost permanently. Compare the two price tags, and you'll agree that this one time investment is well worth the price.

More About LHR:

Physics

The word LASER is actually an acronym for Light Amplified by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.  Lasers used for hair removal operate in the visible, near-infrared, or infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Different lasers operate at different wavelengths on the electromagnetic spectrum.  The ruby laser, for example, operates at 694 nm, whereas the Nd:YAG operates at 1064 nm.  This is important because, in general, the longer wavelength of the Nd:YAG penetrates the skin deeper and makes it safe to treat all skin types including darker tones.  The ruby laser can only treat fair-skinned people, but may be more effective in treating fine hairs.  Other popular lasers in between these two are the Alexandrite, at 755 nm, and the Diode, at 810 nm.  These lasers may share mixed properties.  The wavelengths of all these lasers determine the target chromophore, which is melanin in the hair follicle.

Pulse duration is the length of time a set amount of energy is delivered to the tissue targeted.  Longer pulse durations allow the skin to heat up slower and is safer for darker skin tones.  Alternatively, shorter pulse durations can be more effective for treating fine and light colored hair.  Most lasers vary greatly as to the pulse durations available.

Fluence is the amount of energy delivered to a given area.  It seems self-explanatory that higher fluences will achieve better hair removal results, but again risk thermal damage.  Operator experience is extremely important in achieving effective results without side effects with all lasers.

Spot size determines the area to be treated.  Lasers vary widely on the spot sizes available for use.  At least 3-5 mm is required for effective hair removal.  Spot sizes determine the depth of penetration.  In general, the larger the spot size, the greater the depth of penetration.  This means more effective hair removal and less thermal damage.  Smaller spot sizes are still useful because the operator can use higher fluences.  The larger the spot size of the laser beam, the more fluence must be used to achieve the same result.  Lasers have limits as to the amount of energy that can be used with the larger spot sizes.  Another advantage of the larger spot size is the ability to treat larger areas of the body very quickly.
Based on the scientific principles, one can see that there is not one laser that can treat everyone.  Also, the ability to manipulate the settings on each laser is an extremely fine balance.  An experiences physician with extensive laser training should be sought after to perform laser hair removal.

Treatment results depend not only on the type of laser used but also on the knowledge, experience, training, judgement and skill of the operator.

 How do lasers remove hair?

Laser light penetrates down to the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding skin. The light ultimately destroys the follicle's potential for hair growth. Each pulse treats a large number of hair follicles - the procedure is quick and effective. Hair may sometimes be ejected during the treatment but usually it is shed over the following week. The treatment safely eliminates hundreds of hair follicles instantly - leaving your skin silky smooth!
Be hair free. No more electrolysis, waxing, shaving, or plucking!

If you're considering laser hair removal, consider this: It's not always a sure thing. "Hair removal lasers aren't like point-and-shoot cameras, The results can be great, but if you're treated with the wrong laser or if it's on the wrong setting, you won't get the maximum hair reduction. And you might end up with burns, hyperpigmentation, even increased hair growth.

Important Advice: >>>
from Marianna Davidoff

When concidering  laser hair removal  make sure you know how long the company have been in business! You do not want to be a guinea pig for a new clinic. Make sure you fact-check their knowledge and the history behind the facility.  There are way too many laser clinics opening with little to no experience or knowledge .  But wherever you go sure to ask the following questions:

What lasers do you use for hair removal, which one is best for my skin, and why?

The Consultant should be able to articulate why a particular laser is the best match for you. Taking into account your skin tone, hair texture, and colour.

How many sessions will I need?
The average number of visits necessary to see permanent hair reduction is 4-6.  That is why a "package deal" offered for laser hair removal is often more advantageous for the Client getting Laser Hair Removal.

Can you treat me if I have a tan?
"The only way to treat tanned skin without causing burns is to use such low settings that treatment wouldn't be effective.

Low laser fluences (energy) may lead to hair growth
>>> (That's why its important that you see a trained professional who is experienced and educated in lasers.)

Current research indicates that using sub-optimal fluences (energies) for laser hair removal treatments is a leading cause for the stimulation of hair growth, not a desirable effect when trying to remove hair.
One possibility why this may be more prevalent on darker skinned patients is because practitioners may be hesitant to use appropriate settings or do not have the correct technology or knowledge for this group of patients.
I believe that a practitioner should not have to trade efficacy for safety if they are using correct technology, have a good understanding of skin typing, and choose safe, effective settings with each and every treatment.

The darker your skin, the greater your risk of injury. Lasers target the pigment, not the actual hair, so dark pigment in the skin is more likely to absorb the laser’s energy.

Plan ahead >> you shouldn’t have laser hair removal done if you have a tan (and you should question anyone who is willing to do the treatment on you if you do). The brown pigment from your tan will be more likely to absorb the laser, leading to discoloration of your skin.

in laser hair removal; choosing the right laser is critical in determining how many treatments are needed. Also, some lasers are not safe for some skin types.

In some women, laser hair removal on the face can cause a paradoxical increase in hair growth! Using the correct laser can prevent this, so be sure that the person who is doing your treatment knows if you are at risk and how to prevent this.

You have to let your hair grow for at least 2 weeks prior to laser treatment. Yes, that means stubbly legs for a while, sorry.

Be sure that the person operating the laser can tell you the following: what type of laser or device is being used; why it’s the best type of laser for your skin and what your risks are; what adverse outcomes they have had; how many treatments they expect you’ll need. Using the wrong laser or the wrong settings can lead to discoloration of your skin, failure of the laser to work, pain and redness, and even scarring.

Laser hair removal on dark skin is best done with the 1064 laser
The safest way to remove hair in a dark skin individual (type 5 or 6) is with the 1064 YAG laser. IPL is absolutely not safe for this and can burn you. .

Recent customer feedback has made me aware that many clients still don’t fully understand the difference between Laser Hair Removal and IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments.

IPL vs Laser Hair Removal

Both treatments produce energy in order to disrupt the growth element of each hair follicle to reduce hair growth. However, this is where the similarity ends.

Laser

A laser is an intensely concentrated beam of light. The energy is extremely focused rather than diffuse so it is very precise, offering more powerful, accurate results. During an initial consultation we carefully tune the laser to your individual skin and hair type, ensuring the best possible results on all skin shades and types.

IPL

In basic terms, IPL is far less effective than Laser Hair Removal. The energy is produced by a lamp, a little like a light bulb, and produces a variety of light waves, meaning that it is more diffuse and less powerful. It is usually limited to use on fairer skin types.

  • Lasers use the exact wavelength needed to effectively treat the hair in each pulse.

  • IPL uses hundreds of wavelength in each pulse which only serve to heat up the skin  and do not have any effect on reducing the growth of the hair.

  • Laser pulses are very short and are combined with cooling to minimise build up of heat on the skin.

  • Laser treatments can be done on larger areas, like the legs and back

  • Laser hair removal is not as painful as treatments like electrolysis or waxing

  • Lasers allow doctors to customise treatments to patients specific skin tone and hair colour
  •

Some less reputable clinics use IPL as the equipment is far cheaper than a laser. However, at Maddison Skin Clinic we insist on the very best technology to achieve perfect results for our clients, so we only carry out Laser Hair Removal treatments. We would never settle for average results and neither should you!
