Women Like It Completely Bare

Many women, don't find body hair attractive. It's as simple as that!!

Researchers have found that a majority of women really do prefer a man with a smooth chest.
But guess what... women aren't hairless either. Everyone is born with body hair. But the demand is for women to remove it because men find that attractive, so most women do it.

"And it just so happens that these days more women prefer men without body hair, it's more visually pleasing.
Body hair just doesn't turn us on. It doesn't look good or sexy, we much prefer the feel of bare skin..  sorry guys, but its true!!  When a man is hairless his body looks more muscular and pleasing to the eye".

Laser hair removal for men has become very popular worldwide, 40% of our laser clients are male, Men are too tired of everyday shaving, skin irritation, razor bumps and ingrowing hairs on the face, once they try laser they see the difference straight away, the results are instant and the skin instantly becomes smoother, the only regret they have is not having it done sooner.
Now men use laser hair removal to treat hair on their legs, chest, face, back, and even underarms. In addition men like the laser hair removal process because you get permanent results, it is affordable, pain-free, quick, and safe.

Many ladies prefer hairless guys. That is why many men do it for their girlfriends and wives. Others just enjoy the smooth hairless look!

Everyday on TV screens we see “hot” male models, body builders and actors that are completely hair free. They were not born that way, Laser Hair Removal made them that way.

Why laser hair removal is an invetsment?

Ok well, While women seem to understand that beauty comes at a price, men are, by nature, more logical and practical creatures. Laser hair removal treatments can vary in cost, but the fact of it is that you'll be making an investment. This investment is such an important one, consider the fact that you are absolutely worth it!
Sit down and add up the costs of the alternative methods of hair removal. How many jars of depilatory cream, packages of razors or razor blades, or home waxing kits will you be purchasing over the course of your life? Not to mention the skin care creams and soothing balms you'll have to pick up to keep your skin feeling smooth after all of this abuse.
Now look at the cost of laser hair reduction. After just 4 to 6 sessions, you will have softer, smoother, hair free skin almost permanently. Compare the two price tags, and you'll agree that this one time investment is well worth the price.

More About LHR:

Physics

The word LASER is actually an acronym for Light Amplified by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.  Lasers used for hair removal operate in the visible, near-infrared, or infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Different lasers operate at different wavelengths on the electromagnetic spectrum.  The ruby laser, for example, operates at 694 nm, whereas the Nd:YAG operates at 1064 nm.  This is important because, in general, the longer wavelength of the Nd:YAG penetrates the skin deeper and makes it safe to treat all skin types including darker tones.  The ruby laser can only treat fair-skinned people, but may be more effective in treating fine hairs.  Other popular lasers in between these two are the Alexandrite, at 755 nm, and the Diode, at 810 nm.  These lasers may share mixed properties.  The wavelengths of all these lasers determine the target chromophore, which is melanin in the hair follicle.

Pulse duration is the length of time a set amount of energy is delivered to the tissue targeted.  Longer pulse durations allow the skin to heat up slower and is safer for darker skin tones.  Alternatively, shorter pulse durations can be more effective for treating fine and light colored hair.  Most lasers vary greatly as to the pulse durations available.

Fluence is the amount of energy delivered to a given area.  It seems self-explanatory that higher fluences will achieve better hair removal results, but again risk thermal damage.  Operator experience is extremely important in achieving effective results without side effects with all lasers.

Spot size determines the area to be treated.  Lasers vary widely on the spot sizes available for use.  At least 3-5 mm is required for effective hair removal.  Spot sizes determine the depth of penetration.  In general, the larger the spot size, the greater the depth of penetration.  This means more effective hair removal and less thermal damage.  Smaller spot sizes are still useful because the operator can use higher fluences.  The larger the spot size of the laser beam, the more fluence must be used to achieve the same result.  Lasers have limits as to the amount of energy that can be used with the larger spot sizes.  Another advantage of the larger spot size is the ability to treat larger areas of the body very quickly.
Based on the scientific principles, one can see that there is not one laser that can treat everyone.  Also, the ability to manipulate the settings on each laser is an extremely fine balance.  An experiences physician with extensive laser training should be sought after to perform laser hair removal.

Treatment results depend not only on the type of laser used but also on the knowledge, experience, training, judgement and skill of the operator.

 How do lasers remove hair?

Laser light penetrates down to the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding skin. The light ultimately destroys the follicle's potential for hair growth. Each pulse treats a large number of hair follicles - the procedure is quick and effective. Hair may sometimes be ejected during the treatment but usually it is shed over the following week. The treatment safely eliminates hundreds of hair follicles instantly - leaving your skin silky smooth!
Be hair free. No more electrolysis, waxing, shaving, or plucking!

If you're considering laser hair removal, consider this: It's not always a sure thing. "Hair removal lasers aren't like point-and-shoot cameras, The results can be great, but if you're treated with the wrong laser or if it's on the wrong setting, you won't get the maximum hair reduction. And you might end up with burns, hyperpigmentation, even increased hair growth.

Important Advice: >>>
from Marianna Davidoff

When concidering  laser hair removal  make sure you know how long the company have been in business! You do not want to be a guinea pig for a new clinic. Make sure you fact-check their knowledge and the history behind the facility.  There are way too many laser clinics opening with little to no experience or knowledge .  But wherever you go sure to ask the following questions:

What lasers do you use for hair removal, which one is best for my skin, and why?

The Consultant should be able to articulate why a particular laser is the best match for you. Taking into account your skin tone, hair texture, and colour.

How many sessions will I need?
The average number of visits necessary to see permanent hair reduction is 4-6.  That is why a "package deal" offered for laser hair removal is often more advantageous for the Client getting Laser Hair Removal.

Can you treat me if I have a tan?
"The only way to treat tanned skin without causing burns is to use such low settings that treatment wouldn't be effective.

Low laser fluences (energy) may lead to hair growth
>>> (That's why its important that you see a trained professional who is experienced and educated in lasers.)

Current research indicates that using sub-optimal fluences (energies) for laser hair removal treatments is a leading cause for the stimulation of hair growth, not a desirable effect when trying to remove hair.
One possibility why this may be more prevalent on darker skinned patients is because practitioners may be hesitant to use appropriate settings or do not have the correct technology or knowledge for this group of patients.
I believe that a practitioner should not have to trade efficacy for safety if they are using correct technology, have a good understanding of skin typing, and choose safe, effective settings with each and every treatment.

The darker your skin, the greater your risk of injury. Lasers target the pigment, not the actual hair, so dark pigment in the skin is more likely to absorb the laser’s energy.

Plan ahead >> you shouldn’t have laser hair removal done if you have a tan (and you should question anyone who is willing to do the treatment on you if you do). The brown pigment from your tan will be more likely to absorb the laser, leading to discoloration of your skin.

in laser hair removal; choosing the right laser is critical in determining how many treatments are needed. Also, some lasers are not safe for some skin types.

In some women, laser hair removal on the face can cause a paradoxical increase in hair growth! Using the correct laser can prevent this, so be sure that the person who is doing your treatment knows if you are at risk and how to prevent this.

You have to let your hair grow for at least 2 weeks prior to laser treatment. Yes, that means stubbly legs for a while, sorry.

Be sure that the person operating the laser can tell you the following: what type of laser or device is being used; why it’s the best type of laser for your skin and what your risks are; what adverse outcomes they have had; how many treatments they expect you’ll need. Using the wrong laser or the wrong settings can lead to discoloration of your skin, failure of the laser to work, pain and redness, and even scarring.

Laser hair removal on dark skin is best done with the 1064 laser
The safest way to remove hair in a dark skin individual (type 5 or 6) is with the 1064 YAG laser. IPL is absolutely not safe for this and can burn you. .

Recent customer feedback has made me aware that many clients still don’t fully understand the difference between Laser Hair Removal and IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments.

IPL vs Laser Hair Removal

Both treatments produce energy in order to disrupt the growth element of each hair follicle to reduce hair growth. However, this is where the similarity ends.

Laser

A laser is an intensely concentrated beam of light. The energy is extremely focused rather than diffuse so it is very precise, offering more powerful, accurate results. During an initial consultation we carefully tune the laser to your individual skin and hair type, ensuring the best possible results on all skin shades and types.

IPL

In basic terms, IPL is far less effective than Laser Hair Removal. The energy is produced by a lamp, a little like a light bulb, and produces a variety of light waves, meaning that it is more diffuse and less powerful. It is usually limited to use on fairer skin types.

  • Lasers use the exact wavelength needed to effectively treat the hair in each pulse.

  • IPL uses hundreds of wavelength in each pulse which only serve to heat up the skin  and do not have any effect on reducing the growth of the hair.

  • Laser pulses are very short and are combined with cooling to minimise build up of heat on the skin.

  • Laser treatments can be done on larger areas, like the legs and back

  • Laser hair removal is not as painful as treatments like electrolysis or waxing

  • Lasers allow doctors to customise treatments to patients specific skin tone and hair colour
  •

Some less reputable clinics use IPL as the equipment is far cheaper than a laser. However, at Maddison Skin Clinic we insist on the very best technology to achieve perfect results for our clients, so we only carry out Laser Hair Removal treatments. We would never settle for average results and neither should you!

    Chemical Peels

Some people still think of chemical peels as causing horrible face burns that heal in weeks!
This is wrong. Peeling is the core of Skincare now, Forget about the "cleanse, tone, moisturize" slogan of the eighties. The way ahead for a healthy beautiful skin is "Peel and Sunblock"
Peels are not only for the face but for every corner of the skin. You can make the décolletage and neck more youthful looking, make stretch marks less visible, make pimples and spots everywhere (arms, legs, buttocks) disappear.

The beauty of the chemical peel is its versatility, it could be tailor-made to everybody's need, lifestyle, skin type, skin problem etc.
Chemical peeling is the most common yet sophisticated way to treat a multitude of skin problems from acne, to acne scarring, skin aging, melasma, wrinkles, keratosis pilaris, in growing hair, stretch marks, oily skin, dilated pores etc. There are at least a dozen of acids and at least six different potencies of each acid. If you consider that we mix and match different strengths, creating peeling cocktail tailor-made to each individuals need, you realize how versatile and targeted the peeling treatment may be.

How to keep you skin protected from the summer sun.

Wear sunglasses. Most sunglasses nowadays are made to protect against UV rays and, therefore, offer excellent eye protection. Plus, wearing sunglasses prevents you from squinting, which helps to prevent fine lines and wrinkles from appearing as quickly around the eyes.

Wear sunscreen on any exposed areas.  I certainly have a generous coat of sunscreen on my face and neck (I love using PCA SPF 30 because it’s formulated for oily, acne-prone skin types like mine), but then I also dust on Mineral Powder SPF 50 over it to provide extra protection. With this, my skin never gets any tan or sunburn, plus I’m reapplying every hour (yes, every hour) when I’m outdoors. On my legs and hands, I spray on an SPF 30 sunscreen. I enjoy using the sprays as I find them so easy to use. I make sure to spray on a generous coat since the sprays can be very sheer and I want to make sure I’m getting full protection.

Note: Sunscreens wear off, sweat off and wash off.  Applying liberally and often makes all the difference.

If you want to look young, avoid the sun. A little sun means a little damage; a lot of sun means a lot of damage.  The choice is yours. With these sun protecting strategies, I never get a burn or tan but still get to enjoy the sunshine.

Summer means fun in the outdoors; relax and enjoy, but be safe with your skin!

And what’s the best treatment, aside from sun protection for photo aging? Hands down, prescription retinoids or non-prescription retinols like Advanced Resurfacing  skin treatment.

Do Retinol Products Really Get Rid of Wrinkles?

Products containing Retinol, a clinically proven vitamin A ingredient helps to stimulate cell regeneration and build collagen to get firmer, younger-looking skin every day. I recommend PCA Esthetique Peel (Retinol Peel) I know it will literally transform the look of your skin by reversing the visual effects from sun damage, soften lines and wrinkles, fade brown spots and and smooth the texture of your skin.

Dr Fitzpatrick: For many years, Retin-A used exclusively to treat acne. Since it had a lot of harsh side effects, such as dryness, redness and peeling of the skin, a doctor would need to give very specific instructions to their acne patients about how much to use to try to lessen these negative effects. Dr. Fitzpatrick would always demonstrate to his patients with acne how much topical Retin-A was needed on ONE of his own hands. He would take a pea size amount (his recommended amount for the entire face) and rub it on his hand. Day in and day out, he would continually demonstrate the cream on his hand and one day, to his surprise, noticed that he had one hand that looked much younger than the other! This realization led Dr. Fitzpatrick to be one of the doctors instrumental in getting the FDA to recognize Retin-A as a skincare product to help reduce wrinkles.

I’m happy to say that I’ve been using PCA Esthetique Peel for years now and have been so extremely impressed with the skin-smoothing results. My pores appear smaller, brown spots have lessened, and my lines and wrinkles are truly softened. I get more compliments on my skin than ever!  Overall, it has helped tremendously with my skin and I am just so excited about PCA Esthetique Peel, I know you’ll get great results with it too.

What I know for sure about Retinol is that, when used LONG TERM along with exfoliating products to enhance the absorption of this active ingredient, you will get beautiful results!

NOTE: Keep in mind, there is no immediate gratification when using a retinol product like there is with an acid-based product. Do know it can take at least 2-3 Esthetique Peels before seeing visible results, but trust me your skin will look younger and firmer.

How is Men’s Skin Different Than Women’s Skin?

Its a fact that Men and women’s skin is different.

-Men are less likely to get hyper pigmentation (brown spots) since this is caused from hormonal activity which more women experience.

-Men’s skin is thicker than women’s so they can exfoliate with a gentle scrub every day where a woman should only exfoliate 2-3 times a week.

-Men produce more oil so their skin is less dry than a woman’s.

-Since men produce more oil, they will have larger pores and more prone to blackheads than women.

-Men will have more wrinkles than a woman since they are less likely to care for their skin with the daily use of sunscreen as most women will.

Smoking or Tanning: What's Worse For Your Skin?

It is a fact that neither tanning nor smoking offers any positive skin benefits. But because of the risks involved, and with increased awareness, fortunately fewer people are participating in these activities.
Smoking starves your skin cells of oxygen, causing the skin to appear dull, pale, and lacking glow.  In addition to under-circulated skin, the daily habit breaks down collagen, which leads to premature skin aging. Tanning, however, is the number one cause of premature skin aging–whether it’s in a booth or out in the natural sunlight.
What you need to understand is that many people say “I don’t go out in the sun anymore,” but you still get plenty of skin damage just from driving your car, working in your home or office near windows, and other everyday occurrences, with or without intention.
Be it in a bed or on the beach, tanning not only reveals wrinkles at a younger age, but also drastically improves the risk of melanoma, the deadliest skin camcer. By simply seeking shade and using a daily moisturizer containing sunscreen 365 days a year, one can take key steps in saving your skin.

As to what is worse for your skin, the answer is tanning, simply because it is the number one cause of premature skin aging. Prolonged exposure to natural or synthetic sunlight will expedite wrinkles faster than smoking.

Drinking water keeps you hydrated both inside and out. And, here'sANOTHER benefit of H2O

Another benefit of drinking water is that it can help prevent acne breakouts. By drinking hot lemon first thing in the morning can help reduce breakout activity internally by flushing out the small intestine where a lot of bacteria are formed.
As for keeping the skin hydrated, drinking water doesn’t help as much as you would think but it certainly is recommended as a good health tip!!

Your skin cells are like fish, they need water to live. But did you know that drinking water is the least efficient way to hydrate the skin?
The hydration levels of your skin have more to do with how you treat your skin topically. For example, you could drink a gallon of water a day, but if you’re using harsh skin care cleansers and toners that pull water out of the skin, your efforts of drinking water are not helping your skin’s hydration levels.
I still suggest drinking plenty of water every day (I know I do) but the true benefit comes when you hydrate topically with professional serums and moisturizers.

Which Type of Food is Most Likely to Cause Under Eye Puffiness?

Skin Care Tip: Avoiding salty foods (especially at night) can definitely help prevent under eye puffiness when you wake in the morning. But which type of food is most likely to cause puffiness? Chinese! Not only because of the incredible amounts of sodium used, but also the MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) that is still used at many Chinese Restaurants.
The sodium causes water retention under the eyes resulting in excessive swelling of the eye tissue.
If you are trying to avoid puffiness under the eyes (especially before a special event ), it’s best to avoid salty foods at night and drink a lot of water to flush your system.
But did you also know that your eye cream could be causing puffiness under your eyes?

Skin Care This may come as a surprise…but your eye cream could be causing you more wrinkles and under eye puffiness. Why?
Most companies formulate eye creams with rich oils to compensate for the lack of oil glands around the eyes. Although this moisture is so needed, the heavy oils can migrate into the eyes while you sleep and cause you puffiness when you wake up in the morning. The solution? Avoid the ingredients mineral oil and petroleum in your eye creams and don’t apply too close to the lower lash line.
Another problem with heavy eye creams containing these ingredients is that the oils can weigh down the delicate skin tissue and over the course of time, can weaken elastin fibers causing premature wrinkles.
The bottom line: Avoid eye creams that are extremely rich and greasy, especially those containing the ingredients mineral oil and petroleum.

The combination of lightweight Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins A, C and E and green tea instantly smooth the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, restoring volume and firming.

Opulence: To brighten, balance and smooth. The Opulence treatment helps reduce hyper-pigmentation and lightens blemishes, scars and blemishes. Katy Perry, who has long battled with acne, swears by this treatment.

Atoxelene: To clear, refine and calm. Atoxelene is a replacement to injections. Say farewell to fine lines around the eyes and lips.

    10 Week Hair Growth Treatment

    HL Serum
    Dermal Roller Hair Loss Treatment

HL serum contains cytokines, coenzymes, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and three unique components that are directly related to the treatment of hair loss:

Moisturises, nourishes and improves hair and scalp conditions. Promotes blood circulation in the scalp and revitalises hair follicles.

    • Normalisation of hair growth cycle
    • Hair restoration / support
    • Increases hair thickness
    • Supplements nutrients in hair follicles

Glutathione - an antioxidant with the ability to stimulate cell growth, aiding the cellular exchange needed to produce hair, therefore slowing the progress of hair loss. It was also shown, in some cases, that it can stimulate inactive hair follicles to begin growing new hair.
Basic fibroblast growth factor - promotes the growth of new dermal papilla cells which act directly on hair follicles to stimulate hair growth.
Vascular endothelial growth factor - works to bind dermal papilla cells, preventing cell migration. This ensures that the amount of cells necessary to stimulate hair growth will stay in the desired area.
Roller (0.5mm) is recommended for use once a week for minimum of 10 weeks.

Discover the power of Dermal Roller

    Dermal Roller SR
           SMOOTHER
          BRIGHTER
         YOUNGER
    HEALTHIER LOOKING SKIN
Dermal Roller works by producing thousands of microscopic needle columns (0.1mm in width) in the dermis of the skin, these stimulate the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely. These columns close rapidly enabling the skin surface to recover quickly, each treated area eventually contains around 300 micro columns causing symptoms of mild to moderate sunburn which normally recovers the same-day with only a little residual redness the following day. The natural regeneration and repair that the Derma Roller creates can take up to 6 weeks to develop as over time new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and the blood supply is enhanced.
Micro skin needling encourages collagen and elastin production within the skin and helps to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections making the skin smoother, firmer, brighter, healthier and younger looking.
